You asked. The Haute Seeker delivered! Introducing a monthly list of Haute Happy Hours in Chicago! A roundup for food and drink specials happening each month in the city. The list of happy hour specials seeks to highlight new and diverse restaurants while spotlighting popular business/office districts of the city.

Keep in mind that menus are subject to change, as many menus often do because of seasonality and availability. Be sure to contact the restaurant or visit their website for additional details before heading out to the happy hour of your choosing.


West Loop – Mad Social, 1140 W Madison St. 

The Stefani Group’s contemporary West Loop restaurant Mad Social offers half-off meat and cheese boards as well as half-off select bottles of wine.

Happy Hour Specials are available Monday through Friday, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Pilsen – Lagunitas, 2607 West 17th St. 

Every Monday Lagunitas closes its doors to host taproom fundraisers for local non-profits. This month the Pilsen based brewery hosts SparkShop, a non-profit that brings fun engineering challenges to the classroom of Chicago students. Tickets to the event include entry to the taproom, dinner, and dessert.

Taproom specials vary by fundraiser event and are available Monday and Tuesdays evenings. Check out the website for regular operating hours and a list of exclusive draft beers.


West Loop – City Mouse, 311 N Morgan St.

Located directly across from the Google corporate Campus in the West Loop is the popular Ace hotel. The ground floor of the hotel is home to City Mouse, a lounge offering a low-key environment for both work and play. Specials include snacks such $6 Fries and $14 Spicy Fried Chicken Wings and Larger plates like Wagyu Beef Tartare for $16. Drinks include a Rose of the Day for $6 and Old Style Can for $3.

Happy Hour Specials are available Monday through Friday, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and is available in the patio and lounge only.

South Loop – Plymouth Bar, 311 N Morgan St.

Plymouth Bar offers three different options for after-work drinks and vibes. Check out the all-season rooftop for $4 Taco Tuesdays (comes with three tacos). Along with drink specials such as $8 Absolut cocktails, $4 High Life Cans, and $6 Blue Moons and Stella Pints. The main and lower bar of the restaurants also offers half-price appetizers with the purchase of an alcoholic beverage.

Happy Hour Specials are available Monday through Friday, from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Offers available in the rooftop, main, and lower bar with an alcoholic beverage for dine-in only.


River North – Roka Akor, 456 N Clark St. 

The contemporary Robata Japanese restaurant in River North offers a variety of daily happy hour specials. Try items such as the Wagyu Beef and Kimchi Dumplings for $5, Signature Tataki Trio: Butterfish, Tuna, and Yellowtail, Lobster & Shrimp Dumplings, or Crispy Fried Squid with Chili and Lime for $6. Drink specials vary from Sapporo Draft for $3 and House Infused Shochu for $5.

Happy Hour Specials are available Monday through Friday, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and is available in the patio and lounge only.

Near North Side – ZED 451, 739 N Clark St. 

Wine with some sunshine at ZED 451’s rooftop every Wednesday this month. The Brazilian Steakhouse & churrascaria offers half-off wine by the glass plus food specials all for the fabulous price of $4.51 each.

Happy Hour Specials are available Monday through Friday, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the bar/lounge unless otherwise indicated.


West Town – Bar Biscay, 1450 W Chicago Ave. 

One more day closer to Friday, why not enjoy a classic cocktail to get the weekend started? Every Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until close, Bar Biscay offers three classic cocktails for $7 each. Save your club card for a free cocktail on any other Cocktail Club night (with food purchase).

Food and drink specials are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Greektown – DrinkHaus Supper Club, 820 West Jackson Blvd. 

Celebrate the end of the workday with Happy Hour at DrinkHaus Supper Club. Nestled in the Greektown/West Loop neighborhood, the bar/restaurant offers half-off drinks, $5 shots, and 2 for $250 bottles of Dusse and Delon for the big spenders in your group. The full kitchen menu is available as well.

Happy Hour specials are available Tuesday through Friday, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.


West Loop – El Che, 845 W Washington Blvd

El Che brings Argentina inspired cuisine to the Midwest through intoxicating beef and vegetablesdishes extended to the daily happy hour menu at the West Loop restaurant. The happy hour menu includes 50% off of items such as Empanadas filled with braised beef and horseradish aioli, Spanish olives, and Provoleta. Drinks specials are $7 each for Margaritas, Bombilla Negroni, and Caramelized Rum Old Fashioneds.

Happy Hour specials are available seven days a week from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

The Loop – Mr. Brown’s Lounge, 81 E Wacker Pl

Get together with friends—and be all right as you kick off your weekend at Mr. Brown’s Lounge. In addition to being a great place to hang out on a weekday, an authentic Jamaican restaurant is also a premier place for happy hour deals in the Loop. Mr. Brown’s Lounge offers items such as $7 Island Rum Punch, $5 Red Stripe, $6 Fried Wings, and $5 Jerk Cheese Fries (add chicken for $2 more).

Happy Hour specials are available weekdays from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Dine-in only. All specials offered with the purchase of a beverage. Restrictions may apply.
