If the sun is out, so are my legs! For this How to Wear It, I was ecstatic about finally rocking a dress and sharing how I style it on the blog. I mean, sure, I would’ve worn a dress throughout the colder days in the city, but this was so different because it is its no more layers, just legs. No hosiery, only my toes you see( I really enjoy writing these rhymes right now). Maybe it’s the better, warmer, sunny weather on the horizon that has me feeling this way, but whatever, I am so here for it!
How To Wear It
This multicolored dress took little to no effort to put together, but then again that is the beauty of a dress. Just slip it on, up, over, or step into–and go. Here are some of my favorite attributes about this beautiful Kate Spade number that I found at Nordstrom Rack. One, the colors. I love apparel with multiple colors because it makes it more versatile for a variety of looks and occasions. Two, the fit. The A-line dress is a classic silhouette for any woman because it helps to accentuate your waist-line. Three, the material. It is woven together through knitting, which means it is flexible, durable, and made for long wear. Since this look is pretty simple, I wanted to make sure my accessories matched that same vibe. So, I threw on my strappy sandals by Calvin Klein along with crossbody bag by Marc by Marc Jacobs and the ever so classy pearl adorned jewelry.
I love this look because it is so simple to wear without really any styling involved. But of course, I have some alternatives. Lose the pearls and exchange them for some simple hoops or studs, and the heels for a pair of slide sandals. The dress is great for various occasions that you may come across throughout the season. From Wednesday night happy hours to weddings by the lakeside, this dress will be your go-to for every event that you attend where you want to look amazing, effortlessly.
